Captain Gordon R. Nakagawa Scholarship
Wreaths Across America - Living Wreath Fundraiser
Now through Friday, November 28th
The Marina Foundation in support of the Nakagawa Scholarship for Marina High School is partnering with Wreaths Across America (WAA) so that donations can be made for living wreaths to go to Arlington National Cemetery, California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery, or to a cemetery of your choice.
By purchasing a wreath through this program, Wreaths Across America will donate $5 to the Nakagawa Scholarxhip for every wreath purchased. Please remember to order by November 28th so your wreath arrives in time. The wreath-laying events will be held on Saturday, December 13th at over 4,700 participating locations.
To purchase a wreath, you can directly access the Nakagawa Scholarship Wreaths Across America Page. Once there, click on the "Sponsor Wreaths" red tab to begin. You will be given cemetery and purchase options after that.
If you would like to purchase a Patriot Pair, the link is below. By purchasing a Patriot Pair, a wreath can be sent to an individual, and a wreath will also be donated to Arlington National Cemetery or a cemetery of your choice. Once you click on the "Sponsor Wreaths" red tab, choose 1) "one" wreath, 2) the sponsorship group (Nakagawa CA00598P), 3) the location, and then you will be given the option to select the Patriot Pair in section 4.
If you have any questions, please contact us and we will be happy to help you navigate through this process.
We hope you will take part in this very worthy cause to honor Gordon Nakagawa as well as other veterans, and to support scholars at Marina High School.
We thank you for your support.
Please remember to order by the November 28th cutoff deadline to support the Capt. Gordon Nakagawa Scholarship for Marina High School.
